Danny Murphy says he's now convinced that 'magnificent' Liverpool player will leave the club in 2025

With his current Liverpool deal set to expire at the end of the season, speculation surrounding Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future continues to dominate the back pages.
He has been in fine form for club and country this season but is no closer to putting pen to paper on an extension.
Real Madrid want to sign Alexander-Arnold as early as January due to their ongoing right-back crisis and it remains to be seen if they make a move for him halfway through the season.
Amid talks about his future, Danny Murphy is sure the Liverpool vice-captain is on his way to the Spanish capital in 2025.
Trent Alexander-Arnold tipped to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid
With Dani Carvajal out with an ACL injury and Eder Militao not impressing at right-back, Los Blancos have only Lucas Vasquez who is capable of playing in that position.
Their dire situation has increased the urgency for a right-back, with Alexander-Arnold at the top of their shortlist.
Murphy believes the 26-year-old will move to Real Madrid as he aims to cement his status as one of the greatest right-backs to have played the game.
"I think Trent's gone,” said Murphy on talkSPORT.
“I might be wrong. I don't think based on money but I think Trent's thinking legacy. Going to play for one of the biggest teams in the world."
Who can replace Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool?
Neil Mellor hailed Alexander-Arnold for his ‘magnificent’ display against Chelsea in Liverpool’s 2-1 win as he contributed to both phases of play with incredible efficiency.
There isn’t another player like him in world football, making him incredibly hard to replace.
Liverpool’s priority will be to keep him but in the case of his departure, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong has been linked with a move to Anfield.
The Dutchman recently featured in Leverkusen’s 4-0 UEFA Champions League loss to Liverpool and has been a key player under Xabi Alonso.
That said, the Reds could well turn to Conor Bradley, who has been superb since bursting onto the scene under Jurgen Klopp last season.
