Our young star boy declared he is here to stay with his goal celebration.

Liverpool FC's Harvey Elliott came off the bench to score the winning goal against Lille when his shot took a deflection and flew into the back of the net. The goal was Elliott's second of the season, and his goal celebration involved a "shut up" gesture. Explaining his celebration after the game, he said he intended to remain at Anfield despite rumours claiming he could be on the move this month. Speaking to Amazon Prime, he said:

"I think it's pretty clear to be honest… I'm not leaving. I said it in an interview the other day, this is my team, this is my club, I'm a massive fan and we are in a great position so far this season."

Presenter Gabby Logan interjected with a question: "So you're shutting them up basically?"

"Yes, without saying anything on social media. To be honest I didn't really see all the stuff, there were just a few things, like my friends have said a few things, calling me up left, right and centre and saying 'you're going here, here and here', and it's the first I've heard of it.

"It [speculation] is always going to happen in January, especially after being out for a long time and not really playing as much as I want to, but that's football.

"I've had conversations with the gaffer, but at the same time, I need to understand the situation. The team is flying - we are first in the Premier League and Champions League. For me to go in and say I should be starting it would be silly of myself really.

"You know what the answer is going to be. I need to stay patient and when I am getting opportunities, however long it is, just enjoy the moment, especially after being injured for three months at the start of the season.

"I just want to enjoy my football, and when a chance comes, I need to show the gaffer that if I am needed, I am ready."

We all know what he's capable of and he knows his role is on the team. Let's all take a collective chill pill and just be patient while Harvey works his way back into the team.
