LFC to Face Southampton in Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals

The Reds will make a trip to the South Coast in December.
Following their win against Brighton yesterday, Liverpool FC have been drawn to face Southampton in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. They will travel to play the Saints on the week of 16 December.
The other matchups in the quarter-finals of the League Cup are:
- Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Manchester United
- Newcastle United vs Brentford
- Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
With Manchester City eliminated following their loss to Tottenham, it's an excellent opportunity for everyone else to win a trophy. Liverpool are perhaps luckier because they've drawn the objectively worst team left in the competition, which may make it possible for more rotation in December. That game takes place before an away trip to Spurs, and in a hectic festive fixture season, that could prove invaluable.
We'll see if Liverpool can progress further in the competition they've won ten times in about six weeks. Up the Reds.
