Liverpool have a number of players out on loan from the summer transfer window, and one hot prospect might never return to Anfield unless it is as an opposition player. Crystal Palace have bid £15m for Liverpool gem Ben Doak, who has enjoyed a solid spell at Middlesbrough.

Doak moved to Teesside in August after agreeing to a last-ditch season-long deal for his first taste of regular first-team action. Now, his efforts in the Championship have tempted Crystal Palace to target Doak's permanent transfer from Liverpool, where he has a contract to 2026.

Selhurst Park chiefs have slapped £15m on the table to try to convince their Anfield rivals to sell Doak. The right winger has so far scored two goals and laid on a further five assists in 20 matches. Doak has one goal since September and has not laid on an assist since November.

Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to dominate transfer gossip columns through the first few days of the winter 2025 market as Real Madrid target a move for the Liverpool vice-captain. The soon-to-be free agent's name is rarely separated from rumours of a transfer to La Liga.

But the latest transfer rumour coming from Fabrizio Romano linking the Liverpool right-back with a move to the Galacticos claims Real Madrid will launch formal talks to sign Alexander-Arnold for free. Los Blancos are growing accepting of the Reds' refusal to sell him in January.

Southampton are staring down the barrel at an immediate return into the Championship this season as the south coast club sit rock bottom of the Premier League table. But Tyler Dibling has been a silver lining of Southampton's sorry season with his exploits on the Saints' wings.

The 18-year-old has shown real promise with his ability on the ball despite playing for a side with one win and 15 defeats in 19 games and having only scored two goals. So much so that Newcastle United and now Liverpool are interested in Dibling's transfer from Southampton.

Liverpool would also lead Newcastle in the race for Dibling's transfer if the Anfield side were to advance their interest in the Southampton product leaving St Mary's. Dibling is expected to stay on the south coast at least until the summer, however, but his contract ends in 2026.

VfB Stuttgart could have one of the most sought-after midfielders on their hands as Premier League teams are growing increasingly interested in Enzo Millot. The 22-year-old is enjoying a superb season with his Bundesliga side so far this term to catch the eye of multiple scouts.

Among the squads checking out the France Under-23 international include Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Also, Liverpool are scouting Millot to keep tabs on his progress after offering eight goals and five assists in 24 games across all competitions.

Millot is also proving to be a vastly versatile operator with matches in central and attacking midfield roles, plus outings on either wing. Stuttgart are still to decide if they will cash in on the growing interest in Millot, who is under a contract at the MHPArena through June 2028.

Arne Slot is reluctant to let Federico Chiesa leave Liverpool on loan in January

It has been far from the start that Federico Chiesa would have wanted when he signed with Liverpool from Juventus in August. The Italy attacker has so far featured just four times and has only started one match for a total of 123 minutes since swapping Turin for Merseyside.

So, the possibility of the 27-year-old leaving Anfield already has been on the rumour mill for months. But Arne Slot is reluctant to let Chiesa leave Liverpool on loan in the winter transfer window. The Reds boss wants six forward options in his squad and Chiesa is gaining fitness.

Liverpool are monitoring the market for potential defensive additions this winter but face a fight with Brighton & Hove Albion for the transfer of Palmeiras gem Vitor Reis. The 18-year-old attracted the attention of Liverpool's scouts with his senior breakout campaign in 2024.

Reis has already amassed 22 first-team appearances for Palmeiras since earning his debut in April. Now, his potential could lead to a quick switch to the Premier League as Brighton have bid £23.5m for Reis' transfer to combat rival interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Palmeiras have already rejected two offers from the Seagulls as they are reluctant to lose an emerging star ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. But Brighton are not giving up on the move and remain in talks with Palmeiras over a transfer for Liverpool target Reis this month.
