Report: 'Incredible' Liverpool player now wants return to home country in January due to lack of game time

With the January transfer window only a few days away, it remains to be seen if Liverpool decide to take action midway through the season.
Arne Slot took a measured approach in the summer transfer window as he opted to stick to his guns and trust the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.
It’s safe to say his decision has worked wonders, with the Reds leading the way in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
That said, it hasn’t been plain sailing for Federico Chiesa at Anfield so far, with the Italy international the only player who walked through the door at Liverpool in the summer.
And if reports from Italy are to be believed, the former Juventus winger is already looking for an exit.
Federico Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool in January
Chiesa has featured in just four games for Liverpool since moving from Juventus, with the winger still struggling to get to grips with the Premier League.
The Reds gave him a mini pre-season for him to get up to speed and he did feature earlier this month in the 2-1 Carabao Cup win against Southampton.
However, Chiesa missed the next two games due to an illness and has started only one game for the club.
A report from Foot Mercato states that the 27-year-old is aiming to return to Italy on loan to relaunch his career, with the likes of Inter Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina said to have shown an interest in taking him.
Chiesa wants to return to the national team fray under Luciano Spalletti and feels a return to Italy would help him do that.
The report also states that Liverpool will need to cover a part of his salary to facilitate the loan move, so it remains to be seen how the situation develops in the coming weeks.
What has Slot said about Chiesa?
Juventus icon Paulo Sousa feels Chiesa is an incredible talent, but he hasn’t been able to show his class at Anfield so far.
When asked if Chiesa could leave on loan in January in late October, Slot poured cold water over claims that his newest addition could already be seeking an exit.
"It hasn't gone through my mind at all [a loan move for Chiesa]," said the Dutchman at a press conference.
"First is to get him fit. He missed pre-season and in pre-season, he was in low-intensity sessions as he was only training with three or four players. To go to a high-intensity league is difficult for every player.
"It hasn't been perfect yet so we are trying to find the right way to build him up and I'm fully confident that will happen."
