Finally, Bola VIP noted Mac Allister for ‘pulling the strings’ for Argentina in the midfield, with the 26-year-old lauded for being one of the best players on the pitch and a key reason why the visitors were able to come away from a tough away game with all three points.

Who will Argentina and Alexis Mac Allister face next in World Cup qualifying?

Argentina look set to book their ticket to the 2026 World Cup with Lionel Scaloni’s side six points clear of Ecuador in South American qualifying, yet Mac Allister and company will face their biggest test yet next week via Brazil.

One of the biggest rivalries in world football, Argentina could secure qualification to next year’s World Cup in North America with a result against Brazil, where Mac Allister is likely to start for the reigning world champions.

Brazil will be without Alisson Becker, though, who has returned to Liverpool after suffering a concussion earlier this week against Colombia, where the goalkeeper was brought off.
