Rangers stat left needing favour from teammate as two Ibrox icons butt heads in Europe

Rangers pair Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny have been two shining lights in an otherwise drab season to date at Ibrox.
The summer signing duo have shown flashes of their matchwinning ability whilst they continue to grow into the starting XI in Glasgow game-by-game.
As the domestic game takes a breather, both Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny have once again gone out on international duties with Albania and the Czech Republic respectively.
And whilst the two are getting increasingly used to playing alongside each other with Rangers, the Ibrox duo once again butted heads in the UEFA Nations League this weekend.
Nedim Bajrami v Vaclav Cerny
Ahead of the UEFA Nations League clash between Albania and the Czech Republic in Tirana, Rangers had wished both Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny the best of luck.
The pair were pictured on the pitch at the Air Albania stadium holding up each other's jerseys and posing for a photo ahead of the match.
But whilst the niceties were taken care of before kick-off, Bajrami and Cerny were ready to do battle for their nations in the UEFA Nations League.
In a drab affair, neither side could break the deadlock with a combined xG rating of 0.76 (0.36 Czech, 0.4 Albania) summing up the contest.
Both Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny did their bit to contribute on the night to be fair with both heavily involved in the good moments of play in the game.
Bajrami, who was given a rating of 7.0 by FotMob after the game, created two chances for his teammates before eventually being subbed in the 72 minute.
Similarly, Czech loanee Cerny was ranked at 7.3 and had two shots on goal before substituted in the 65th minute of proceedings.
Rangers star needs international favour
Rangers fans will just be glad to know if both players got through the game unscathed ahead of a tough run of fixtures between November and March.
But there is still one more game to go in the UEFA Nations League before the real football can resume across Europe.
Now, one of this Rangers pair will need to call on his Ibrox teammate to step up and perform if his nation is to have any chance of progressing in the tournament.
With Czechia now leading a tight UEFA Nations League B Group 1 by a solitary point on eight points, it's all set come down the final day.
Not only will Vaclav Cerny need to step up and get a result against second place Georgia on Tuesday (19/11) to ensure progression to the next round of the competition.
But Albania and Nedim Bajrami are also relying on the Czechs halting Khvicha Kvaratskhelia & co heading into their final group game with Ukraine.
With only the top two sides set to progress, Georgia are locked on seven points alongside Albania following a 1-1 draw with Ukraine in Batumi.
It means Albania will need to get a result against Ukraine – who being on five points also harbour ambitions of reaching the knockouts – which betters the result Georgia get against the Czechs.
It's presented a blockbuster final set of games in this specific group and let's hope both Rangers players are in the hat come the end of next week!
