Reports from Ivory Coast claim that Sunderland are looking very closely at a striker who plays in Sweden… is Speakman about to leave a nice present for Le Bris this Christmas?!
Kristjaan Speakman is said to be interested in leaving a new striker in Regis Le Bris' Christmas stocking, according to reports.
Sunderland have been linked with a move for Halmstads BK striker Yannick Agnero, according to reports in his homeland of Ivory Coast.
225foot claim there are a number of clubs watching the player, with Sunderland in particular keeping a keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old, who only signed for the Allsvenskan club from FC Nordsjælland in the summer after a successful trial.
Sportbladet reported last month that there was interest in Agnero from Norwegian club Molde FK, Djurgården and some other unnamed Swedish clubs.
Agnero had scored the goal the winner against Djurgården in the penultimate game of the season that prevented Halmstads being relegated.
The Swedish 2024 season ended last month and Agnero played 11 league games for Halmstads, as they finished 12th, scoring four goals in the final eight games of the season.
He also spent time on loan at Danish lower league outfit Helsingør during 2024, where he scored once in 11 games.
