Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a surprise move for the Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Liverpool at the end of the season. He is not a key player for them and the Irish goalkeeper will want not sit on the bench at Anfield next season.

According to a report from Give Me Sport, Tottenham admire the Liverpool goalkeeper and he would cost around £25 million during the summer transfer window. The player is reportedly on the radar of Bournemouth and he has been linked with Chelsea as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Kelleher has proven himself at Liverpool over the years, and he has been very effective for them during rotation and injuries. The Liverpool goalkeeper has helped his side win domestic trophies during his time at the club and his winning experience could prove to be vital for any team he joins.

He has won the Champions League with Liverpool during his time at the club as well. Kelleher has been described as "world-class" by teammate Virgil van Dijk.

He will want to join a team where he can play regularly and it remains to be seen where he ends up. A move to Tottenham seems unlikely. They already have Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky at their disposal. They will not be able to provide the 26-year-old with regular gametime.

It will be interesting to see where the Irish goalkeeper ends up. He needs to choose his next destination carefully. He is entering the peak of his career and he needs to play every week.

There is no doubt that he is good enough for any team in the country and the reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his quality and experience. He could prove to be an excellent acquisition for most teams in the division.
