TBR Football understands that Alphonso Davies is set to confirm where he will be playing his football next season and it won’t be in the Premier League.

Davies is out of contract with Bayern Munich in the summer and is free to start discussing his next move with foreign clubs this month.

Talks with the German giants over a new deal have taken place, although no breakthrough in talks has yet been made.

Several major English clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, made contact with the full-back, however, the Canadian international is expected to reject their interest in favour of Real Madrid.

Alphonso Davies to reject Premier League offers

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all had contact with Alphonso Davies’ representatives in 2025 to ascertain his thinking about his future, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

Davies had previously been open to Premier League offers but his people have now told English suitors that is no longer the case.

Bayern Munich held fresh talks with the 24-year-old in the last week and they were confident he could be persuaded to stay in Bavaria but no agreement was reached.

Real Madrid confident of signing Alphonso Davies

Sources have told TBR Football that Real Madrid believe Davies will sign for them in the near future as they look to secure yet another major profile signing.

TBR Football has consistently confirmed via sources that Madrid were always confident that they would land Davies, having worked on landing him for nearly two years.

Florentino Perez’s latest transfer masterclass is playing out as he predicted and that is with them landing the top summer target.

Perez looks set to pull off yet another major coup as TBR Football understands that Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready to confirm that he will be joining Real Madrid in 2025.

Los Blancos still want a new centre-half and midfielder – but landing Davies and Alexander-Arnold were always their top priority heading into the New Year.
