'Ran them ragged': Micah Richards says striker Arsenal want to sign has already tormented Saliba and Gabriel

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign a number of strikers in 2025.
The Gunners only have Kai Havertz available up top now. Gabriel Jesus has suffered a serious knee injury that will keep him out of the side for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal fans have been hoping that Mikel Arteta will sign a new striker in this window, and several names have come out of the rumour mill.
Micah Richards has had his say on one of them.
Micah Richards says Alexander Isak ran William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes ‘ragged’
Alexander Isak is a player Arsenal would love to sign this year.
The Newcastle United star is arguably the best striker in the Premier League right now. He has been in incredible form this season and is the biggest reason why the Magpies are fourth in the table.
Isak has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for a long time now, and fans of the Emirates Stadium club have been dreaming about signing him.
That move is unlikely to happen in this window because of his price tag, which means Arsenal will have to face him at least two more times this season.
Speaking about the last time Isak played against Arsenal, Richards has claimed that he ran William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes ‘ragged’ in the EFL Cup semi-final.
He said on the Rest is Football podcast: “I think they’ve been all right. I think, well, not all right. They’ve been very good, I think, Saliba and Gabriel.
“I think Isak had a good game against them though the other week. He ran them ragged a little bit."
Alexander Isak will cost a British record transfer fee
Newcastle United have no interest in selling Isak in the ongoing transfer window.
The Magpies are aiming to return to the Champions League this season and they are in a really good position now after what was a difficult start to the season.
Keeping hold of their star striker is integral to achieving that, which is why reports have claimed that it would take a British record fee in excess of £115 million to sign Isak.
We just can’t see a world in which Arsenal will spend such a huge sum on a player in the January transfer window. They may even decide against it in the summer.
Other Arsenal targets like Benjamin Sesko will cost less at the end of this season.
