"Seriously interested" – Man United & Chelsea express desire to sign 14 G/A wonderkid

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in a potential transfer swoop for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
The talented 20-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe in recent times, contributing a hugely impressive 11 goals and three assists in all competitions so far this season.
It seems only a matter of time before Gittens is snapped up by a bigger club, with Dortmund often selling their best talents for a healthy profit on numerous occasions down the years.
Gittens is now said to be attracting strong interest from Man Utd and Chelsea, as well as Dortmund's Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg in the X post below…

Gittens probably won't come cheap, but it's easy to see why there's so much interest in him, and it will be interesting to see who can come out on top in this transfer battle.
Jamie Gittens needs to pick his next club carefully
One thing Gittens needs to be aware of is that leaving Dortmund won't necessarily go well for him if he picks the wrong club as his next destination.
Jadon Sancho previously shone at Dortmund as a youngster, but things went downhill for him when he joined United in the summer of 2021.
Sancho has since revived his career at Chelsea, so perhaps that could lead Gittens to lean towards Stamford Bridge over Old Trafford.
United are a huge name in world football, of course, but they're going through a really difficult period, and many top players have been made to look worse than they are there.
Chelsea, by contrast, look to be moving in the right direction as they build around talented young players, so Gittens could fit in well there and continue his development into a world class player.
MUFC probably need Gittens more than CFC right now, so perhaps the England Under-21 international could gamble on joining the Red Devils to ensure he gets more playing time.
