Walsall boss Mat Sadler has praised on-loan Stoke City striker Nathan Lowe as he netted is eleventh all-competition goal of the season to seal three points away at AFC Wimbledon.
Going into the game on the back of an international break, Lowe, who had recently cited Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as an inspiration, continued his scoring run as he netted his third goal in as many games to see Walsall move to second place in Sky Bet League Two.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Sadler said: "Everyone talks about the best, and I'm glad he's talking about the mentality of some of the best because that's what makes them the best.
"Nathan is experiencing something in league football that he's never experienced before and that's what it's all about.
"He's taken to it very impressively but he knows, he's got an incredible family to support him, and he knows that it doesn't stop.
"The whole thing keeps on going. We enjoy the next few hours in terms of being happy that we won but it all starts again tomorrow."
After switching his team around for their recent EFL Trophy meeting with Shrewsbury Town, Sadler opted to return to the team that drew with Crewe Alexandra as they visited Plough Lane.
Sadler went on to praise his team as a whole as they battled for all three points, he continued: "That's the whole team. It doesn't stop, nothing stops with that.
"We're just a group that wants to work hard for each other and that's always such an important starting point for any team.
"We're very fortunate we've got a good squad of players where people can come in at different times. Long may that continue."
