Clean sheet defenders on top at Oxford

A clean sheet at Oxford saw the back four take sixteen of the points on offer from the man of the match and player ratings.

None of them won the man of the match; that went to Luca Koleosho who polled 38% of the vote. CJ Egan-Riley came second with 17%, just ahead of his defensive partner Maxime Estève who was third with a 15% share. Josh Cullen came fourth with 11% of the vote.

It was very much the back four in the player ratings with all of them winning points. It was central defenders first with Egan-Riley winning with a rating of 6.84 out of ten and Estève in second place with 6.71. Then it was the full backs; Lucas Pires was third with 6.66 and a rating of 6.58 out of ten giving Bashir Humphreys fourth place.

Egan-Riley has won eight points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with both Estève and Koleosho winning five points. There are two points for Pires with both Cullen and Humphreys winning one point.

With just three games in September, Koleosho and James Trafford are joint winners of the player of the month with eleven points, closely followed by Estève and Sarmiento who both picked up ten points.

Estève has now increased his lead at the top of the table to seventeen points ahead of Josh Brownhill and below there are just three points separating the next three, Egan-Riley, Trafford and Koleosho.

The PLYMOUTH VOTE will remain open until the end of tomorrow with the Preston vote getting underway after Saturday's home game against them.
