Blackburn Rovers 'ever closer' to landing player – Club already lining up replacement

Towards the end of last week, it was reported Blackburn Rovers were working towards signing Cesena striker Augustus Kargbo and had made their first offer for the player.
It now seems as if the move is heading in the right director and the Lancashire club could land the player this month.
Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by SassuoloNews, have reported negotiations between Cesena and Blackburn Rovers are ongoing and could soon reach a positive conclusion.
The English club are 'ever closer' to signing the Sierra Leone international, who has asked the Italian side to let him join Blackburn Rovers quickly.
He is desperate to move on ,and in the meantime Cesena are already looking at replacements. They do not want to be caught unprepared for his exit late in the window.
As a result, they see Sassuolo’s Flavio Russo as an option and Udinese’s Damian Pizarro is also a potential target.
All of this points towards the fact that John Eustace is preparing to sign Kargbo soon, after the club tried to sign him in the summer transfer window as well.
