Willem Geubbels has been the subject of links to a number of Championship clubs in recent days, with Leeds United, Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion all presented as options for the January window.

The 23-year-old currently plays for FC St. Gallen in Switzerland and he’s made 23 appearances so far this season. In those appearances he’s managed nine goals and two assists, playing as a central striker.

He arrived at the Swiss club in January 2023 and towards the end of 2024 he was handed a better contract. St. Gallen have Geubbels on a contract lasting until June 2027, so they hold the cards on this one.

Swiss media outlet 442.ch now report on St. Gallen’s reaction to the claims of a potential move to Leeds United, Norwich City or West Brom.

The young forward is considered one of the best players in the Swiss league and St. Gallen have therefore got no intention of letting him go this month.

They would only do so for an offer considered outrageous, and therefore impossible to refuse. Despite the higher wages he’d get, it’s not expected Geubbels would push for a move, so perhaps Leeds, Norwich and West Brom will have to wait.
