Nottingham Forest fans continue to pinch themselves after another win in the Premier League.
Southampton were the opponents this time around and despite a spirited effort, were still beaten 3-2.
It could’ve been 4-1 at one point but Nikola Milenkovic’s header was ruled out by VAR for offisde.
The win at the City Ground means the Reds are now level on points with Arsenal in second place.
Nuno Espirito Santo has got everyone performing to such a level that it’s hard to pick out a star, however, Forest fans have picked out three players that Thomas Tuchel should be considering for England’s international fixtures in March.
Forest fans name three players who should get England call-up
Nowadays it feels inevitable that we should expect to see a Forest player in the England squad for international fixtures.
Morgan Gibbs-White was called up to the Three Lions squad in October and November and is one of the trio of players who fans want Tuchel to include in his 26-man squad.
Two others are Elliot Anderson and Callum Hudson-Odoi, both of whom were on the scoresheet at the weekend and have been some of the best players in the Premier League this season.
Unsurprisingly, they have caught the eye of fans, who now want to see them rewarded with appearances for their country.
One fan wrote: “Get Elliott Anderson in that England squad. My word.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi should be in Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad,” commented a second.
Another added: “It’s time a conversation was had that Callum Hudson-Odoi should be in the England squad along with Anderson and MGW.”
A fourth wrote: “Morgan Gibbs-White needs to be playing more for England.
“Morgan Gibbs-White is the best English attacking midfielder/’number 10′ and it’s not even close,” stated a fifth.
When do England play next?
England’s next international fixtures aren’t until March where they will begin their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
They start off by facing Albania at Wembley Stadium on 21 March (7:45PM kick off) before taking on Latvia three days later at Wembley again on 24 March (7:45PM).
These will be Tuchel’s first game in charge of England and hopefully a great chance to see some more Forest players in action.
Gibbs-White became the first Forest player to represent England since 1997 earlier this season and Hudson-Odoi previously had call-ups when he was on Chelsea’s books.
Anderson had the chance to play for Scotland but turned it down and has been involved with England’s Under-21 set-up and his next target will be to make the step up.
