Arsenal drew 2-2 with Manchester City at the Etihad this weekend, but, at one point, it looked as though the game would go in a very different way.

Indeed, Erling Haaland put City 1-0 up against Arsenal early on, and many Gunners supporters would be excused for fearing the worst at that moment.

However, Riccardo Calafiori quickly got Arsenal back into the game with an absolute screamer.

The Italian curled one into the top corner from outside the area, and speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman shared how he was shocked by Calafiori's goal, claiming that he had no idea the defender had that in his locker.

Seaman spoke about the £40m man's strike against City.

"It was a decent goal yeah," Seaman said.

"Is he known for his goalscoring Calafiori?" His co-host asked.

"No, I didn't know he could do that. If he does that again, then ace," Seaman said.

Riccardo Calafiori is technically brilliant

Seaman was surprised by Calafiori's wonderstrike, but it shouldn't be that much of a shock.

Indeed, Calafiori is a technically brilliant player, and he's shown in the past that he has this in his locker.

Calafiori has scored nine goals in his career so far, and, interestingly, none of those have been headers.

Calafiori may not be a striker, but he knows how to hit a ball, as he showed at the weekend.

The Italian is going to be playing in a more advanced role this season at left-back and he could well be amongst the goals this term.

Arsenal have always looked to spread the goals around the team as they don't have an Erling Haaland-type striker to lead their line, and in Calafiori, they might well have a new weapon from left-back.

Don't be surprised if Calafiori manages to score a few more goals like this throughout this campaign.
