The 'spectacular' £58m striker Arsenal are 'far more likely' to sign than Alexander Isak - Journalist

Mikel Arteta is dreaming of signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this summer, however, that is looking increasingly unlikely.
The Gunners have instead been tipped to land another attacker ahead of the Swede who is set to remain at St James’ Park heading into next season.
Alexander Isak scored to help fire the Tyneside club to their first major trophy in 70 years as they defeated Liverpool 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final.
Andrea Berta may well make a big effort to land Isak in the summer, however, that looks to be just a pipedream and there is one player that is ‘far more likely’ to arrive at the Emirates.
Arsenal ‘far more likely’ to do a deal for Benjamin Sesko over Alexander Isak
Arsenal are ‘far more likely’ to do a deal for Benjamin Sesko over Alexander Isak, with Newcastle United in such a strong position to keep him.
RB Leipzig look set to make Sesko, who rejected Arsenal last summer, available for transfer and the Gunners appear to have added him to their list of targets.
Although, the Gunners could face competition for Sesko, who has been called ‘spectacular’, as TBR Football exclusively revealed recently that Liverpool are also keen on Sesko, who has a £58m release clause.
Watts told his YouTube channel: “The Sesko stuff is just far more likely for me, who would I want out of the two of them? Alexander Isak all day long.
“He’s been number one on my list for a long, long time for Arsenal. He is perfect for them. But I just can’t see a way that Newcastle sell Isak this summer, to Arsenal or anyone.”
Why Arsenal are so unlikely to sign Alexander Isak in the summer
Newcastle hold all the cards in the race for Isak’s signature as they are in such a strong position given their situation and his contract length.
The Magpies have just ended their 70-year wait for a trophy and are making a strong push for Champions League football, meanwhile, the striker still has over three years left on his current contract.
“If they could they would, it’s no secret that Arsenal want to sign Alexander Isak, Mikel Arteta wants Alexander Isak but wanting and getting are two entirely different things,” added Watts.
“The position that Newcastle are in here is that he has a long time left on his contract, they’re going to have European football.”
