Ipswich Town youngster Osman Foyo has offers from Crawley Town, AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale and Colchester United, sources have told The72.
Ipswich Town are focusing on their bid to stay in the Premier League with a busy transfer window ahead at Portman Road.
Further signings are wanted after bringing Ben Godfrey in on loan, but there’s also scope for departures in East Anglia before the window slams shut on February 3rd.
Now, The72 has been informed that one Tractor Boys player attracting interest from elsewhere is young winger Osman Foyo.
League One side Crawley Town and League Two trio AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale and Colchester United have all made offers to sign 20-year-old Foyo on a permanent basis, we understand.
It comes after a highly successful loan with National League South side Chelmsford City, where he scored 13 goals from the wing. Foyo’s eye-catching form, including four goals in his final three league games for Chelmsford, has put him on EFL radars.
The Ipswich Town starlet has six months left on his contract. It is expected he will join one of Crawley, AFC Wimbledon, Colchester or Port Vale in the next 10 days with offers lodged and talks over personal terms taking place.
More on Foyo
Foyo first spent time in the academy at Norwich City but linked up with Ipswich Town in January 2023, joining after a brief loan spell. He’s since found regular opportunities in their youth setup while gaining senior experience out on loan.
The talented winger spent spells with Torquay United and Welling United during the 2023/24 campaign, but it was with Chelmsford City this season where Foyo has made a name for himself.
Operating on both the left and right wings, it’s no surprise his form has caught the eyes of teams like Crawley Town, AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale and Colchester United, who are all ready to give him a shot in the EFL.
The month ahead
While Crawley Town, AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale and Colchester United battle it out for Foyo and search for other additions, they’re also tasked with balancing important club fixtures.
In League One, Rob Elliot’s Red Devils sit in 21st, five points away from safety.
Meanwhile in League Two, the Dons and the Valiants are vying for automatic promotion, occupying 5th and 4th respectively. The U’s are down in 17th but they’re looking to put distance between them and the relegation fight, with seven points between Danny Cowley’s side and 23rd-placed Morecambe as it stands.
