Luton Town have seen a bid for Wycombe Wanderers talisman Richard Kone rejected, according to reporter Pete O’Rourke.
Luton Town are on the lookout for signings that can turn their season around as they fight against relegation from the Championship.
It has been a dismal campaign to date for the Hatters. After initial expectations of a push for a Premier League return, they’re way down in 23rd in the Championship table and firmly in the fight against a shock consecutive relegation.
Matt Bloomfield was recently hired as Rob Edwards’ replacement in a bid to turn around their fortunes, and it seems the new boss is facing an uphill battle in the effort to raid former club Wycombe Wanderers.
According to reporter Pete O’Rourke, Luton Town have seen a bid rejected for Chairboys talisman Richard Kone.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation since jumping up from non-league at Adams Park and has been in flying form this season. Kone has 17 goals to his name in 35 games, also chipping in with two assists.
He’s quickly become a vital player for Wycombe Wanderers and there’s an obvious desire to fend off interest and keep him for their promotion push.
