Aston Villa intensify negotiations with Sevilla to sign Loïc Badé

According to Foot Mercato, Aston Villa have intensified negotiations with Sevilla to sign French centre-back Loïc Badé (24) in the January transfer. Unai Emery has identified the Frenchman as an ideal recruit to bolster his defensive options before the end of the winter window.

The Premier League club have identified the 24-year-old for a potential move to Villa Park this January but other transfers must take place before a deal can be agreed. Diego Carlos must be sold to Fenerbahçe before a deal for Badé can progress to completion. A deal to take the former Sevilla defender to the Turkish Super League is thought to be close to completion.

At what price?

Sevilla previously rejected a €20m bid from Roma for the France international defender in the summer transfer window and it will reportedly take a higher bid to convince the La Liga club to sell Badé in the winter transfer window.
