Bamo Meïté wants January move as Marseille set conditions

There was interest in Bamo Meïté (23) in the summer, however, the defender ultimately remained with Olympique de Marseille. However, it is a decision that has not suited either party. He has gone on to register just 24 minutes of playing time all season, and a January move is now envisaged, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Meïté’s last minutes of football came on 14th September, and at such a crucial juncture in his development, it is not a situation that can continue. As a result, OM are looking to offload him, but with a certain set of conditions. The club are not looking for a simple loan but, in an ideal world, a permanent transfer. Aware that this may not be possible due to the defender’s meagre game time this season, a loan with an obligation to buy would also be deemed acceptable.
Meïté himself is looking to leave the Vélodrome, however, there may be a shortage of interest. Stade Rennais and multiple English sides were in the mix in the summer but currently, no one is manfiesting a concrete interest. Both the player and OM will be hoping that changes next month.
