Rennes and Sassuolo interested in Angers' Haris Belkebla

It could be a long transfer window for SCO Angers. L’Équipe understands that their star player, Himad Abdelli (25) is the subject of interest from Olympique de Marseille. If Les Phocéens come knocking, it looks highly unlikely that the Algeria international could be retained.

However, another one of their Algerian midfielders is also garnering interest. Haris Belkebla (30) has been a mainstay in this side after joining Angers on a free transfer in August. He has so far played 12 games in all competitions. His form since returning to France has elicited the interest of two clubs.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Serie B side Sassuolo are interested in Belkebla. The club are currently top of the table in Serie B and are looking to further strengthen in January in order to increase their chances of an immediate return to Serie A.

Stade Rennais, who are also in the market for a midfielder this January, however, also identified the Algerian as a potential target.
