Radoslaw Majecki’s (25) heroics, coupled with Arsenal’s profligacy kept AS Monaco in their UEFA Champions League tie, against the Gunners, at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

However, he did so whilst nursing an injury, as Adi Hütter revealed. The Monaco manager said that the Polish goalkeeper had suffered an adductor injury. “He felt something in his adductor after the match against Toulouse FC (on Saturday),” said Hütter.

Zakaria has ‘an opportunity’ to play against PSG

Whilst it is an issue that didn’t rule him out against Arsenal, it does rule him out of the game against Stade de Reims on Saturday. “Philipp Köhn will be in goal,” confirmed Les Monégasques’ manager. L’Équipe understands that Majecki will also miss Wednesday’s fixture against Paris Saint-Germain.

Denis Zakaria may also miss that game. In any case, the Monaco captain is certainly out of this weekend’s encounter against Les Stadistes. “There could be an opportunity [for him to play] against PSG,” said Hütter. As the Monaco manager confirmed earlier this week, if Zakaria doesn’t play against Les Parisiens, he will not feature against L’Union Saint-Jean in the Coupe de France on 22nd December, Monaco’s final game before a short winter break.

Hütter added that there are no returnees for the Principality club, meaning that Krépin Diatta, Edan Diop and Mamadou Coulibaly are all still out.
