Mohamed Salah was again the star of the show for Liverpool in Sunday’s entertaining 6-3 Premier League win against Tottenham.
Two goals and two assists for the Egyptian international saw Salah make even more Premier League history as the winger became the first player to reach double digits in goals and assists before Christmas.
With Salah also breaking a Premier League record set by Wayne Rooney, the 32-year-old Liverpool star once again showed why he is not only the best player in England but arguably the best in the entire world at this moment in time.
And Martin Keown says one moment against Tottenham convinced the former Arsenal man that Salah is now playing on a whole new different level.
Keown left mesmerised by Salah skill vs Tottenham
Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit noted how one move from Salah in the first-half against Tottenham left him spellbound by the Liverpool winger, with Keown now convinced that the former AS Roma star is only getting better and better under Arne Slot.
Keown said: “There was one little moment of skill where he goes to a new level, I think his games is getting better. He drags the ball from his left foot to his right foot and gets a shot off, hits the bar, and you’re thinking: ‘How’s that happened?’ Some of the best defenders in the world couldn’t get near that.”

With Gary Neville noting how much he enjoyed Salah toying with Tottenham’s defenders, the Liverpool superstar had a field day in north London against Ange Postecoglou’s side, where the winger could have scored and assisted more.
And Keown’s comments all-but confirm Salah’s place as one of the best in the world, with the 32-year-old attacker showing no sign of slowing down this season after a historic start for the Reds under Slot.
Liverpool’s success in 2025 could come down to Salah’s fitness
Salah’s record this season is nothing short of incredible, with the winger leading the goalscoring and assist charts in the Premier League and playing with the quality that fans only see once in a few years from the true greats of the game.
And heading into 2025, Liverpool’s success could come down to whether or not Salah remains fit, with the winger quickly becoming the most important player for any team in the Premier League and a focal point for Slot’s attack.
Indeed, Salah is currently a runaway train that no Premier League side is capable of stopping, and the Reds will need to hope that the 32-year-old can remain fit between now and the end of the season in their quest to win every piece of silverware out there.
