Liverpool have made their stance clear on FC Nürnberg striker Stefanos Tzimas.

The Greek star is regarded as one of the brightest forward talents around and is being chased by several Premier League clubs with Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Brighton all keeping an eye on his situation in Germany.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan with Nurnberg from Greek side PAOK and the German second division outfit plan on activating the €18m buy option in his loan deal with the intention of selling him directly in the summer, reports Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

Liverpool have been strongly linked to Tzimas in recent weeks with the Reds said to be eyeing a summer move for the Greek star.

The Merseyside club are understood to have been impressed by Tzimas' performances for FC Nurnberg this season, but despite the eight goals and two assists he has produced, Liverpool have opted not to move for the youngster in 2025.

Liverpool have no interest in Stefanos Tzimas

Liverpool have been linked to several forwards in recent months as it is an area of the pitch Arne Slot could add to as Darwin Nunez continues to be linked with an Anfield exit.

Eintracht Frakfurt’s Omar Marmoush is a top target for the Reds but given Man City’s interest in the Bundesliga star, that led to the Merseyside club keeping an eye on Tzimas.

According to James Pearce, Liverpool have no interest in pursuing a deal for Tzimas in 2025 despite the 19-year-old being heavily tipped to make a switch to Anfield.

This may come as a surprise to many Liverpool fans as recent words from Nurnberg's sporting director, Olaf Rebbe, about Tsimas made the deal look like an easy one to get over the line.

FC Nurnberg’s stance on Liverpool target Stefanos Tzimas made clear

Speaking to Bild this week, Rebbe shot down any prospect of Tzimas leaving this month for Liverpool or any other club.

However, the Nurnberg sporting director did hint that the German club would be open to a sale in the summer and are already preparing for that outcome.

"We won't give up any top performers in the winter, but with a view to the summer, we are of course already looking at a few options,” Rebbe stated.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Tzimas as Liverpool are one less club pursuing his talents. Slot may have other targets up his sleeve but for now, the Dutch coach is fully focused on delivering fans of the Reds another Premier League title.
