Liverpool's breakout midfield star of the 2024-25 season says he's determined to get even better.

Liverpool have had a rather lengthy list of standout performers this season as one would expect for a side topping both the Premier League table and the Champions League league phase heading into December.

In attack, Mohamed Salah is arguably in the form of his career and Luis Diaz has been a standout. In defence Virgil van Dijk has been expectedly imperious while Ibrahima Konaté has arguably been his equal. And in midfield, Ryan Gravenberch has been a revelation in the six—but he insists he can still get better.

"My defensive things I can do better," he said in a recent chat with Men in Blazers. "Also in possession maybe I can play more balls behind the defence and can maybe score as well or give an assist. I think that's where I can improve.

"I see myself as a six because I played there before and have to focus especially on this position this season but so far I'm happy with it, it's going well. Last season I played more than the season before and this season it was the aim to become a starting eleven player. I'm just happy I can show my quality."

There's no doubt he's shown that, and along with Salah and Van Dijk he's established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet for Arne Slot, with a start against Real Madrid on Wednesday and then Manchester City on the weekend seemingly certain.

It's a pair of games that, after Liverpool's highly promising start to 2024-25, could well define the season for the Reds, and if they can earn any kind of a result in both games hope and belief will be sky high heading into the festive period.

"For me, you have to dream big," Gravenberch added. "I want to win the Premier League for sure—we just want to if we can. You have to dream big, and you want to win everything."
