Dominic Solanke has been called up to the England squad for their Uefa Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.

Solanke's call-up comes seven years after his only cap to date, when he came off the bench in a 0-0 friendly draw with Brazil at Wembley back in November 2017.

The 27-year-old enjoyed an excellent 2023/24 campaign with Bournemouth, netting 21 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions — including 19 goals in 38 Premier League outings.

That form earned Solanke a big move to Spurs in the summer. After a slow start, the former Liverpool and Chelsea striker appears to have found his feet with three goals and an assist in his last three appearances across all competitions.

Solanke will hope to see minutes in Lee Carsley's squad, which also includes Spurs legend Harry Kane and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins in the No.9 position.

"Dom is a player I am fully aware of. He was very close to making the last squad," Carsley said of Solanke (via talkSPORT). "He did so well at Bournemouth, and he's taken that into his time at Spurs.

"He's got a lot of attributes I really like, as well as being a really nice person."

Former Tottenham full-back Kyle Walker has also returned to the Three Lions camp after missing the previous international break.
