There are repeat reports in the Dutch media that Derby County look set to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Oscar Fraulo.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Championship side in recent days following reports they were looking to take him from the grasps of FC Utrecht.

On Monday, we covered reports from the Netherlands which stated the Rams were looking to take on his contract and buying option. Despite this being described as a 'robbery' by the Dutch media at the time, it's not expected Utrecht will block a move to Pride Park.

Algemeen Dagblad today report, as covered by Voetbal Primeur, that Fraulo looks to be on his way to Derby County, despite being on loan with Utrecht since 2023.

During the summer the Dutch side extended the loan period with the Dane and agreed an option to purchase him at the end of the season. However, the youngster has had limited game time this season and subsequently Derby County have stepped in.

It's claimed the English side will take on his loan contract and that they will have the option to make this permanent in the summer.

Fraulo has made just seven starts in the Eredivisie this season and has hardly figured in recent weeks. He's contracted to Borussia Mönchengladbach until June 2026.
