According to a report from L'Équipe, Antoine Kombouaré is set to remain in charge of FC Nantes for the weekend Coupe de France clash with the fourth division team La Jeane d'Arc de Drancy.
Kombouaré has been on thin ice for several weeks with the Nantes hierarchy thought to be unimpressed with recent results even if the experienced head coach managed to record a victory over arch-rivals Stade Rennais.
A 4-1 loss to local rivals Stade Brestois is reportedly the final straw for Nantes withOuest France reporting previously that the club will begin looking for a replacement for Kombouaré.
The focus remains on a reunion with Sérgio Conceição, who managed the club from 2016 until 2017. However, that could remain tricky with Premier League clubs currently in search of a manager.
Habib Beye, who previously oversaw Red Star FC's promotion to Ligue 2 last season, has also been a track that that club has been reportedly looking at.
