Brest players and supporters opposed to Champions League relocation

Moving to a larger facility isn't an appealing option to many players and supporters of Stade Brestois.
After officially booking a place in the next phase of the UEFA Champions League, the club from Brittany have expressed interest in having the Stade de France host their home games for the knockout portion of that tournament.
All their group fixtures in that competition have occurred at Stade de la Roudourou in Guingamp, including a 1-0 triumph over PSV on matchday six.
Club captain Brendan Chardonnet (29) tells RMC Sport that if it were up to them, they'd rather have those knockout contests in Brittany as well. "Fans can move around quite easily, and so can our friends and families. If we had a choice, we'd like to stay in Guingamp."
Chardonnet isn't the only one who feels that way, with plenty of Brest supportersagainst having their side play in Saint-Denis. On Sunday, a banner was spotted saying, "The Stade de France, we don't want it."
Ultimately, it may not be up to the players or supporters of this club. As it stands, Stade de la Roudourou isn't in line with UEFA's standards for future Champions League matches in the knockout phase.
Éric Roy's men are undefeated in their three European games in Guingamp, as they currently sit seventh in the table, a point above last season's runners-up, Borussia Dortmund, for an automatic place in the last 16.
Brest's final encounter before the knockout round takes place at Stade de la Roudourou on January 29th against the defending champions Real Madrid.
