Roy Keane aims savage dig as he compares Man Utd star to Liverpool legend

Roy Keane called out an under-fire Manchester United star while heaping praise on Liverpool’s ‘magnificent’ Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been one of the world’s best players since joining Liverpool in 2017 and has maintained his sensational form this season despite the big change in the Anfield dugout.
Under Arne Slot, the winger has so far scored 10 and assisted 10 in just 18 appearances, powering the Reds to the top of the Premier League.
His consistency over the years is to be admired and at the age of 32 he shows no sign of slowing down, with Keane in awe of the Egyptian’s physique.
‘Doesn’t he look in great shape? He looks like a top professional footballer,’ the United legend said on Sky Sports.
‘He’s in great shape. We got close to him when we interviewed him after the game against United [in September]
‘He’s a Rolls-Royce of a player. Magnificent.
‘He probably does everything right. Bet he didn’t go to America last week for a few days…’
Keane was of course making reference to Marcus Rashford who was scolded by United fans for attending an NBA game in New York last week instead of staying at home and focusing on his football.
Rashford, who was joined Stateside by teammate Casemiro, was also criticised by Red Devils legend Gary Neville, while new United boss Ruben Amorim also suggested he did not fully approve of the trip.
The England forward enjoyed a 30 goal season not so long ago but his form has fallen off a cliff since, and this season he has just one league goal to his name so far.
Keane is still hopeful the 27-year-old can get back to his best though, encouraging Rashford to find the joy in football again under his new head coach.
‘He never looks like he’s enjoying it that much. That’s the biggest worry for me,’ he added.
‘Listen, we can all be moody and when you’re playing the game obviously you’re under pressure. But even when he scores, everything’s a bit of a chore to him.
‘So hopefully the new manager coming in, a new voice, will give him that. Go and express yourself and remember why you play the game of football.
‘Marcus needs to get back to that childhood like enjoyment. He seems to gave lost that.’
