'This is the expectation': Fabrizio Romano shares what Arsenal are 'highly likely' to do in the window now

Arsenal fans have been urging Mikel Arteta to make a new signing or two in this transfer window.
The Gunners aren’t big fans of doing business in January. The North Londoners prefer the summer window, but things could change now.
Bukayo Saka is injured and isn’t expected to be back until the end of February, while Gabriel Jesus is set to be ruled out for most of this year.
That leaves Arsenal really short of options in attack, which is why they are expected to make a new attacking signing before the window shuts.
Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal are ‘highly likely’ to sign a new striker
We have entered the final two weeks of the winter transfer window, and Arsenal fans are getting impatient.
The Gunners have been in need of a new forward since before the start of this season, but Mikel Arteta decided against signing one after Benjamin Sesko rejected Arsenal.
The need for a new striker is still very big, and injuries to Saka and Jesus have made it Arteta’s biggest priority in the final days of the window.
Arsenal have been linked with several top-class strikers over the last few weeks, but no move has materialised to sign any of them.
However, Fabrizio Romano feels it’s still ‘highly likely’ that Arsenal will sign a new striker before the window shuts on February 3rd.
When asked if Arsenal will sign a new striker, Romano said on his GiveMeSport newsletter: “It’s highly likely.
“This is the expectation of Mikel Arteta, so I expect the club to back him and find a solution on the market even if big names are not available.”

Which striker could Arsenal sign in the final days of the window?
The January transfer window is a really difficult market to pull off big deals.
Arsenal’s dream target is Alexander Isak but a move to sign him is impossible in this window. Benjamin Sesko is another target for Arteta, but it will be very hard to sign him as well.
TBR Football revealed that Juventus are ready to sell Dusan Vlahovic this month. That could be an option for the Gunners if they decide to revive their past interest in him.
Wolves star Matheus Cunha is another option for Arsenal after contract talks between the Brazilian and the Wanderers have come to a standstill.
Arsenal have plenty of options on the market now. It will be interesting to see who they will go after in the coming days.
