Chelsea have made an offer for Deportivo La Coruna forward Yeremay Hernandez in an attempt to 'rout the competition'.

That's according to Calcio Napoli 24, who report that Chelsea have offered €11m plus bonuses and €1m net salary ‘in the last few hours’.

They explain that the Blues have moved to try and get ahead of Napoli for the player. The Italian side have offered €10m. They see Hernandez as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratshkelia.

Chelsea are currently ahead in negotiations with Deportivo La Coruna. However, the Spanish side are looking for €12/13m to sell their star man.

Hernandez, for his part, has shown a preference towards Napoli. They hope this can prove to be decisive as they battle with Chelsea for him.

He's excited by the idea of working under Antonio Conte. He believes the Italian coach can make him 'explode definitively' by developing his game.

Napoli's interest in him is serious but Chelsea are out in front at this moment in time. Neither side, however, is close to an agreement with the player or Deportivo.

Napoli are expected to make a counter proposal sooner rather than later which could 'overcome' Chelsea and put them back in front. It's a back and forth developing race at this moment in time, though.
