Hull City boss Ruben Selles wants to take Reading’s Harvey Knibbs to the MKM Stadium in January, as per Football Insider.
Hull City recently brought Ruben Selles in as their new boss, hiring him as the permanent replacement for Tim Walter after the German’s dismal stay on Humberside.
The Tigers were in the fight for the play-offs last season but the call to sack Liam Rosenior and replace him with Walter has seen them plummet towards relegation contention.
It is now up to Selles to turn the tide and lead the former Premier League regulars to safety.
The winter transfer window will be an important one for Hull City and Selles will be hoping he’s backed by Acun Ilicali. It will make a welcome change for the former Southampton coach, who had to work with extremely limited resources at Reading.
Now, Football Insider claims he wants one of his former players at the MKM Stadium.
They report that Hull City boss Selles is keen on signing forward Harvey Knibbs from Reading. The 25-year-old, who can play across the front three as well as in attacking midfield, has caught the eye with seven goals and two assists in 19 games for the Royals this season.
Reading want to keep their best players, Knibbs included, but they could be forced to sell.
