According to L’Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais intend to retain the services of Rayan Cherki (21) in the winter transfer window, despite the interest from other clubs, unless they receive a signifcant offer. Contracted to the Rhône club until 2026, the Frenchman is hot property ahead of the January window opening.

Cherki has been in the form of his career this season. After two seasons of inconsistency in the first team at OL, the playmaker seems to have finally found his feet at his boyhood club. The Les Gones academy graduate has made 17 appearances, scoring 5 goals and registering 7 assists.

Need to sell

Lyon would greatly like to keep their attacking midfield starlet. However, with the club needing to raise funds fast to avoid a potential relegation to Ligue 2, a sale would have to be considered in the event of an irefutable offer. Foot Mercato understands that Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in signing the France U21 international. OL value their academy graduate at €30m.
