Julien Vetro was one of two players signed by Burnley close to the end of the summer transfer window and immediately loaned out to Dundee.

One of them is Oluwaseun Adewumi and he's proved to be a great success, making fifteen Scottish Premiership appearances and scoring four goals. His loan has been extended until the end of the season.

However, things haven't gone quite so well for Vetro who has made just five substitute appearances in the league. That's prompted Burnley to recall him from the loan.

The 20-year-old Vetro joined Burnley at the end of August having left French club Girondins de Bordeaux at the end of last season. He signed a two-year deal with us and went straight to Dundee.

Dundee thanked him for his service and contribution  during his time at Dens Park and wished him well.

He is now back at Burnley with no indication as yet whether he will join our under-21 squad or move out on loan again.
