New manager doesn't want Sheffield United target – Blades continue negotiations

There's a claim in the Turkish media that Sheffield United are still looking to get a deal done for Besiktas attacking midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The former Liverpool and Arenal star was linked with a move to Bramall Lane in the summer and in recent weeks there’s again been reports of interest from the Championship side.
Turkiye Gazetesi today report on the latest developments regarding Oxlade-Chamberlain's future with Besiktas and they say the 31-year-old is not in Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s plans. The Norwegian was announced as their new manager on Friday and is now looking to bring in his own players.
Previous reports in Turkey said Besiktas wanted to move him on due to his wage costs and Super Lig foreign quotas.
Subsequently Oxlade-Chamberlain's agent is looking to find his client a new club, with reports he's still in talks with Sheffield United. Last week there were claims the Yorkshire side had entered into negotiations for the player.
However, the Blades should expect to face competition from other clubs after reports his agent is speaking to multiple parties.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made 30 appearances for Besiktas last season, but has hardly figured in this campaign.
He's contracted to the club until June 2026.
