Midfielder Isaac Price is set to leave Belgium and move to the Championship, with Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion negotiating for him.

That's according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that Preston or West Brom could secure a deal worth €2-2.5m with Standard Liège.

He states Price is set to be involved in the upcoming clash against Sint-Truiden. He will then leave Liège on Monday to move back to England.

The next few hours will be decisive as to who wins the race for him. Preston and West Brom appear to have similar prospects of getting the 21-year-old.

Price has been in Belgium since July 2023 after moving to Liege from Everton on a free transfer. He's made 62 appearances for the club since then, with one goal and two assists.

Now he appears to be on the verge of a return to England, with Preston and West Brom locked into negotiations for him. They seem to have no problem paying the €2-2.5m price for him.

That will represent a healthy profit for the Belgian side, whose beleaguered finances will surely welcome the January income.
