There's a claim in their Turkish media that Sheffield United have stepped up their pursuit for Besiktas attacking midfielder Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Istanbul side are looking to offload the former Liverpool and Arsenal player, with the Blades hoping to take advantage of his situation with the Super Lig giants.
Milliyet today report on the latest developments regarding Sheffield United's interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain, and they say the Championship side will soon make an offer for the 31-year-old.
It's claimed the south Yorkshire club are looking to loan the Besiktas player until the end of the season, but there are no reports if they plan to make that permanent in the summer.
Only yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Sheffield United are in talks to sign the attacker and that Besiktas want to sell the player due to issues with the Super Lig foreign quota rules.
The English side should reportedly expect to face competition from French club Nantes.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made 30 appearances for Besiktas last season, but has hardly figured in this campaign. He's contracted to the club until June 2026
