Watford offer 'not appreciated' – Hornets invited to return with higher amount

According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas have rejected an offer from Watford for their goalkeeper Ersin Destanoglu.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Hornets in the past week following reports of a bid from the English club.
Sabah today report on the latest developments regarding Watford's interest in Destanoglu, and they say the two clubs are far from an agreement.
It's claimed the Championship side wanted to loan the young keeper until the end of the season and to purchase him for €1.5m in the summer. However, Watford's offer is 'not appreciated' by Besiktas, but the case isn’t entirely closed and a new offer would be listened to.
Destanoglu has struggled to get games with the Super Lig giants this season and could look to move on before the transfer deadline.
Despite this, his situation could change following the announcement today that former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær has become the new Besiktas boss.
Destanoglu has made just one appearance in the Super Lig this season, but has also been involved in two of Besiktas' Europa League group matches. The player is contracted to the Black Eagles until June 2026.
