Derby County considering January swoop for League One striker

Derby County are interested in Bolton Wanderers striker Dion Charles, a report from Football League World has claimed.
Derby County are in the market for new recruits this month as they look to avoid slipping into the Championship relegation fight, with the solid start fading into distant memory at DCFC.
The Rams held their own with some good results and impressive home performances in the early stages of the campaign. However, they’re now only four points clear of the drop, sitting 18th in the Championship table.
A solid winter of recruitment is needed at Pride Park to aid the bid for survival, and a striker is atop the list of transfer targets with extra firepower needed in the bid to push up the league in 2025.
Now, it is claimed one man Derby County have their eyes on is Bolton Wanderers striker Dion Charles.
That’s according to Football League World, who claim the Rams are alongside League One big spenders Wrexham in considering a move for the Northern Ireland international.
It is said that while Charles is under contract until 2026, the opportunity to head elsewhere could prove tempting with DCFC and the ambitious Red Dragons keen.
