There's a claim in the Turkish media that Burnley are showing interest in Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson.

The Denmark international is expected to exit the Turkish champions in this transfer window after failing out of favour.

A Spor today report Galatasaray want to offload Nelsson this month as they look to raise funds to sign PSG central defender Milan Skriniar. The Istanbul side are reportedly looking for offers in the region of €10m.

The Turkish media outlet say Burnley are the latest English side to be linked with the 26-year-old following previous claims of interest from West Ham United.

It's claimed the Championship side are currently in transfer talks with the player's agent as they look to get a deal done in this window.

There is no indication if Nelsson would be interested in playing in England’s second tier or if he's still eyeing a move to the Premier League.

Nelsson has made 14 appearances for Cimbom this season, with only eight of those coming in the Super Lig. He's contracted to the Istanbul side until June 2026 and has been capped by his country on 14 occasions.
