Barnsley will assess Donovan Pines and Fabio Jalo ahead of the weekend, as per a report by the Barnsley Chronicle.

Barnsley are back in League One action with a home clash against Stockport County. They head into the game on the back of their 2-1 away win at Burton Albion last time out after goals by midfielder Luca Connell and striker Stephen Humphrys.

Pines, 26, sustained a blow to his head earlier this month against Stevenage and the club have since been following the FA’s concussion protocols closely as they wait for the right time to put him back into the squad. As for Jalo, he injured his shoulder against the Brewers in their last match and will now need to be assessed over the coming days.

Regarding Pines, Clarke said, as per the Barnsley Chronicle: “He has to go through the concussion protocols and we’ll see how it goes daily.”
