MK Dons have agreed to appoint Crawley Town boss Scott Lindsey as their new manager, according to Football Insider.

MK Dons are on the hunt for a new boss after they saw Mike Williamson depart.

The League Two side only brought him in from Gateshead last October, but he has moved on once again with Carlisle United swooping. Williamson was under growing pressure at Stadium MK amid a poor start to the season and their promotion push collapse last time around.

Since then, the Dons have been on the lookout for his replacement. One man heavily linked with the post has been Crawley Town boss Scott Lindsey.

Now, according to a report from Football Insider, MK Dons and the Red Devils have come to an agreement over a deal to take Lindsey back down to the fourth-tier. A breakthrough in negotiations has been reached and an announcement is expected imminently.
